Passing knowledge and experience

Passing knowledge and experience

Football is a team game. The team is group of people gathered around some subject or an idea. It means you have to think much like your teammates and eventually to act like they would in a similar situation so the system don’t collapse. And so the ability to anticipate can reach its maximum.

The thing that connects the dots (in our case – players) all over again, is the skill of passing. If you pass correctly and at the right time, you win the situation.

But, when is the right time to pass? And can it be learned?

You can learn it if your training session is simply – real game situation. But here we are not talking about passing as a technique, we talk about passing as a skill. Its a higher level, but we need it if we want to progress.

With the right training session that emphasises game situation, you will eventually master the skill and with combination of both, you can expect the best of yourself on the match.

Here are 4 tips for you to master the passing technique:

  1. Supporting foot to be next to the ball
  2. Foot of the kicking leg to be opened up
  3. Kick the ball with middle of the inside part of the foot
  4. Leg to continue movement through the ball

Today was very tense and interesting on the pitch. This week at the camp we have special guest Mr Carl Brown from Manchester United F.C. Mr Brown is very committed to his coaching, so our players have an opportunity to experience how the great MU train and what is their method of work.

What is their secret? Is it the training program, the methodology? Is it because they’re the place where modern football started? Is it the money? What happens with all the young players in MU Academy that don’t become top players? And is it worth it to play the game even though you are not playing for top clubs?

These are all questions we discussed with Mr Brown after the training session. We are thankful for his honesty and words of  motivation for all our future players.

Never stop learning. Never give up.
