Who is in control, the player or the ball?
Coaching controlling the ball has probably the widest range of situations one can create. Because the main focus is not only on a technique but on what to do after you receive the ball. What will happen, where will it take me? Who is in control, the player or the ball? We must make sure that player has the ability to direct the ball where he thinks is the best for him and for the team in order to keep the possession. Therefore, training must be directed to challenge the action and not only the isolated technique that does not reflect the real game situation. And of course, we practiced in a way which brings more fun to the hard work.
The game is on! More guessing and shaking the brain to win the race. That is the way it should be. Good players don’t use their legs only.
