Confident player dribbles better
Today, almost in full force, as still a few players are missing to join us later in the week, we moved on throughout our training program. The main focus is on dribbling in different situations. Dribbling against one player, sometimes more, as we were aiming to attack the space to finish the action with a shot or assist. While dribbling, unless it is natural, it is good to have an idea of what to do, before coming close to the defender. Coaches were encouraging and supportive towards the players to try to go forward fearless of the mistake. And if the mistake happens, the best answer is to correct it immediately. Only confident players are better players.
Learning about football, from the coaches, educators, friends, or elite players, is as important as much as training itself. Learning with understanding is the key factor for fast improvement. In youths, success is measured by the speed of development. So don’t be closed to information and stay open to learning.
