Confuse the defenders, surprise them! How?
The attacking training session with scoring goals is the phase of training practice players love the most, especially the youth players. Although they should be natural in the attacking third and play with flair in actions, it can be practiced into the very details and has the clear and precise method. Where to move, when and how to pass the ball…
The key points will be:
- Movement from the players without the ball,
- Decision making when to pass and when to dribble from the players with the ball, and
- Timing of the action in order to be successful
You should always create space to receive and pass the ball – this is a must in this phase of the game. Creativity and unpredictability from all players involved are crucial when you play against an organized defense. Make them confused, surprise them.
We also learned that attacking can be a defensive tactic. How? We better ask our players 🙂
